This is really an amazing idea and it would be great if it can be done by the developers and Steemit team.
I also think that the actual users we have right now must start bringing forward their products/services on the platform and offer to sell and pay with Steem.
For example, like I am doing at my place, I am opening my new restaurant soon and will accept Steem/SBD as mean of payment. This is my way of supporting Steem and make more people discover it.
Now imagine if we all people active here, offers something to sell...this will be major.
Then we need to set up the market place as you mention above.
I really want to see Steem/Steemit get more recognized around the world and be successful as it should be.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I hope your new restaurant becomes popular and successful! It would be great to see more businesses accepting STEEM or SBD as payment.
I also hope we will see more practical ideas implemented on Steem and Steemit to encourage real-world use and attract more people to the platform. If more businesses start accepting STEEM, it could be a great step toward making our ecosystem stronger.
