THE DAIRY GAME:SUNDAY ENGAGEMENT/A MEMORABLE HARVEST OF FULLNESS CELEBRATION (18/10/2026)

Hello, dear Steemians!
Wishing you all a wonderful new week! I hope you're all doing well and appreciating the blessings around us. Today, I’d like to share the events of my Sunday, 18th October 2026. It was a memorable day for me and my church community at the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Uyo Parish, as we celebrated our annual harvest thanksgiving—a highlight we had eagerly anticipated since the start of the year.

A SUNDAY FILLED WITH GOD'S ABUNDANCE BLESSINGS

Morning Preparations
My Sunday kicked off early as I got ready and headed to church. As the Chairman of the Management Committee, I had various duties to address before our members, visitors, and special guests arrived. I wanted to ensure everything was in place for our harvest thanksgiving celebration.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by the wonderful agricultural produce that members had brought for the event. From plantains to other farm items, it all represented God's provision and fidelity. We collaborated to arrange the harvest contributions thoughtfully for the service, and it was inspiring to see everyone’s participation making the day special.

A Joyous Harvest Thanksgiving Service
As the service commenced, the church quickly filled with worshippers. The congregation overflowed with members, guests, mission partners, and invited dignitaries, all gathered to celebrate God’s blessings. Our parish minister, Reverend Uwem Etukakpan, along with other dignitaries, joined us in worship, and we were particularly grateful for the mission partners supporting our ongoing church building project. Their involvement was incredibly meaningful as we advanced our efforts to complete God's house.

The theme for the celebration, "Harvest of Fullness," was powerfully addressed by Reverend ItohowoEtim, who emphasized God's abundant blessings and the importance of gratitude. The uplifting service rekindled our appreciation for the faithfulness we experienced throughout the year.

In the second part of the celebration, we raised funds for our church building project. The chief harvester, the event chairman, and other dignitaries actively participated in the harvesting ceremony, showcasing unity, generosity, and commitment to God’s work.

A Special Moment After Church
After the service and harvesting activities, we enjoyed a time of fellowship. I was delighted to receive a catfish as a gift. Reverend Ubong Ekpenyong kindly helped me cut it into portions with assistance from his wife, which made things easier for me to store the fish at home. I was truly grateful for their thoughtfulness.

A Day of Thankfulness
Finally, I returned home filled with joy and gratitude. My Sunday was enriched with worship, service, fellowship, generosity, and love. Our Harvest of Fullness celebration was more than just an annual event; it served as a reminder of how, united in faith and thanksgiving, we can achieve great things for God’s glory. Thank God for a wonderful celebration!

How did you spend your Sunday, dear Steemians? I would love to hear about your experiences in the comments!
