There days you are busy then feel satisfied, that was my day
Greetings to all my fellow Steemians! I am @freshgrace. It is about how I spent my day from morning until the night of this day. It was an engaging day that I found satisfaction, too. Before the details of my, here are the highlights:
- Morning Devotion and School Runs
- Going to school and teaching computer science
- Back from school
- Going for Bible Study
- The rest of the evening
It was a beautiful day that we began with morning devotion as every member of my family struggled with sleep, but the morning devotion is inevitable for us. Some days, we may pray longer and, at other times, very short, especially if we wake up late.
After the devotion at about 6:00am, next was the actual school which I had to prepare for my son, bathed him and got him ready for school before 7:00am when his school driver would come. As he left and waved bye-bye to me, I prepared myself too and left for school while my wife and the little boy remained at home.
I got to the school at the point they had finished their Assembly. However, I entered my office and relaxed, checked my textbook and at about 10:00 am I entered classes. In primary 4, I taught them about the Dos and Don'ts of computers.
At this stage, pupils at school should know how to care for a computer, be it desktop or laptop. Water should not be poured on the computer. When your computer is faulty, look for trained personnel.
At about 12 noon, I entered Primary 2, and we learned about the early counting methods, which include the use of stone, grains, animals, and trees. It was from this understanding that the Hindu-Arabic numbers were introduced and Roman numerals. That is 1,2,3… and I, it, iii…
We taught them about “Abacus” which is the first and earliest counting and calculating computer. It consists of beads and a rod in a frame.
At the end of the class, pupils were able to differentiate between Hindu-Arabic Numerals and Roman Numerals. The abacus knowledge was also used in addition and subtraction of numbers.

The last class I taught was primary, which learned about hardware computers. Pupils were made to understand the difference between hardware and software systems. But our concentration for today was on “hardware” which are those parts you can touch, for example, monitor, keyboard, printer, and speaker.
They were further classified into “input” and “output”. In our next class, we will be exposed to the system unit and others before we start a lesson on software computers.
The class ended at about 1:30 p.m., and I retired to my office to have some rest and mark notes of pupils until 2:30pm. that we dismissed.I was hungry in the afternoon, so I took a stroll down the streets with one of the teachers for snacks. That was my strength as I was going back home.

Coming back home by a nearby shop, my eyes caught up with some children's 🥄 spoons, I had to buy them for my children. Now in the house, my children were like “dad” we waited for you. I only washed my hands, not eaten yet, but my children were all around me. We played as much as we could until my wife put a sumptuous meal before us.

Our Bible Study is always at 5 pm. I left the house while I cut short my rest and picked up my son along with me. We reached the church quite on time, but others had delayed coming. We waited for a few minutes and commenced the class.
The topic of the Bible Study was “Gift of Service” with texts drawn from Rom. 12:7; Acts 6:1-7 while the memory verse was from 1 Peter 4:11:
If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

The summary of the memory verse encouraged us not to boast or misuse our gifts. God endowed us with the gifts for the service of humanity and to His own glory.
- We must understand what service is about. Our services on earth are in vertical and horizontal dimensions. While the vertical side encourages services to God our creator, the horizontal emphasizes that we must live for one another. If we can not help our fellow humans, our services to God will be about nothing. Religion shouldn't replace the essence of our humanity. Humans must come first. Religion is man made. God will also state in that Holy Book that we should “love one another.” Therefore, service is love.
- The gift of God in us must help society, not only to ourselves. For all the things we are learning from religious communities, how has it helped the society we are living in? We must ask ourselves questions that will create an impact in society.
- Watch your character, humility drives service that is ideologically acceptable.
After the class, every believer should be involved in rendering good services.
Because we didn't start the class on time, we were dismissed at about 6:32pm, and all of us trekking from the church down made the night to meet us on the way. I walked with my son and others.

From my morning, my day was engaging, however loaded with pure lessons of life. From the ones I learned at school while teaching the pupils to the Bible Study which concluded that “my service is first of all to humanity from that I serve my God better”. Religion is not meant to divide but brings us toward one God, eternal and forever, Amen.
Thank you my people until I come your way again
