The Diary Game: How I Made A Smelly Pap For My Family 😩[4/9/2026]
WHAT HAPPENED!!!🌸🌸
So Sometime towards the end of last year, I saw a video where someone said if you are changing the water of your pap every day, you are washing away the probiotics.
According to the person, we were supposed to soak the corn for 3 days without changing the water before grinding it.
Oh!!!!!!!!
Silly me that likes to experiment new things, I said, “Okay, let me try out this method when making my pap next time” 😂
So now that I wanted to make new pap, I soaked my corn, joro and dawa for 3 good days without changing the water at all. Then I took it to grind.

The smell was so strong eeh! 😂
Normally, the pap I normally drink, just add small sugar and you’re good to go. But this particular pap??? Before it could enter our mouth and we could successfully swallow it, you needed plenty sugar! 😂
My children, who LOVED completely abandoned it for me.
They would close their mouths and refuse to drink it.
Eventually, it was just me and my husband forcing ourselves to drink this thing. My husband eventually gave up and said, “I’m not drinking again.”
Me too, I drank, drank, drank… I got tired! 😭
I eventually made another batch of pap and threw that one away.
Honestly, I felt bad because of the money I wasted. 😭
But one thing is sure…
I am NEVER doing that experiment again!!!
From now on, I’m changing my pap water because I want my pap fresh, sweet and odourless.
The people that soak their pap for 3 days without changing the water, KUDOS TO YOU! 👏
But me? I have learnt my lesson.
