Drawing tutorial: My colorful bird drawing

Today I am sharing with you one of my new drawings. This time I have tried to draw a beautiful little bird on paper with the help of colored pencils. The orange chest, dark wings and small beak of this bird really impressed me.

Let's see how I completed this drawing in different stages.

Drawing steps

Step 1: Initial sketch

First I lightly sketched the bird's body, head, beak, wings, tail and legs. At this stage I focused on getting the bird's overall shape and body proportions right.

Step 2: Orange Color

At this stage I started to fill in the orange color on the bird's head and chest. Apply the color slowly so that the natural texture of the bird is maintained and the color looks uniform.

Step 3: Color the Feathers

Now I applied dark gray to the top of the bird's head, beak and long tail. This created a beautiful combination of orange and gray colors and made the shape of the bird more pronounced.

Step 4: Shading the body

In this step, I shaded the rest of the body with the help of gray and light brown colors. Carefully used colors to highlight the folds of the wings and different parts of the body.

Step 5: Final Details

Finally I completed the finer details of the eye, beak, legs and wings. Deeper lines and lighter shading gave the bird a more clear and natural look. Thus my drawing is complete.

My inspiration

The colors and beauty of birds in nature always inspire me. I tried to convey the charm of a small bird on paper through this drawing. For me, art is a beautiful medium to express natural beauty in my own way.

My experience

Choosing colors and mixing them together in this drawing was an interesting experience for me. Especially the combination of orange and gray colors made the picture stand out. The drawing got better with each step and finally I was happy with my work.
