Drawing tutorial: Pencil sketch of a little witch

in Steem For Pakistan • 2 days ago

Today I am sharing another of my pencil drawings with you. This time I have tried to make a little witch character. The picture shows a big magic hat, short hair, beautiful dress and broom. I completed this drawing step by step and with each new step more details were added to the character.

Step 1 — Magic Hat

First I made a paper witch's hat. The top part of the cap is slightly crooked and the bottom has a wide brim. He also added a belt and a center buckle, which defined the shape of the hat.

Step 2 — Hair Extensions

After that make small hair under the cap. Place the hairlines in different directions to make the character look more interesting. The face wasn't finished yet, but the initials of the character were beginning to emerge.

Step 3 — Dress

In the next step I made the neck and dress part under the face. Details were added to the sleeves and front of the dress, making the witch's character even more pronounced.

Step 4 — Sweep

Now added magic broom under the character. Make a long broom handle and a brush at the back. This detail further connected the image to the witch character.

Step 5 — Face and Final Detail

Finally I added the eyes and the rest of the basic features to the face. Then completed the lines of the dress, legs and broom. The last picture shows a little witch sitting on her magic broom.

Total Witchcraft

My inspiration for this drawing was to create a fantasy and innocent witch character. I love drawing characters that have an element of imagination along with ordinary things. In this picture, the big hat, simple dress and broom allowed me to create a little magical world. While drawing I especially enjoyed watching a few simple pencil lines slowly transform into a full character.

Conclusion

This was my step by step journey of this drawing. I started with the magic hat and added hair, clothing, broomsticks and facial details, eventually creating the full character.

Sort:

You made this drawing very well. From the beginning to the end, which is explained step by step, it is understood how much effort it takes to make even a small drawing. I especially like the details of her hair and dress. It's not really easy to make so many things with a pencil.
