Shops serving these kinds of handmade snacks are found almost everywhere, including our rural areas; they often serve as bustling hubs of activity for the village or town. You will see all kinds of customers here—young and old alike—and a variety of snacks are available from morning till night. Locals gather here to enjoy these treats, and visitors from outside the area also come to grab a bite.

This particular shop prepares a wide range of snacks throughout the day. In the morning, for instance, they sell piping-hot parathas accompanied by dishes like dal bhaji (lentil stir-fry), aloo bhaji (potato stir-fry), and fried eggs. On special occasions—particularly Fridays—they cook duck and chicken dishes, drawing huge crowds of customers eager to taste them; in fact, the shop often runs out of seating space during the morning rush.

The shop remains open from morning until noon, and in the afternoon, they prepare a different set of handmade snacks. Offerings include dal peyaju (lentil fritters), dal puri, aloo chop (potato croquettes), beguni (eggplant fritters), and singara (samosas). They even make vegetable pakoras using mixed vegetables and lentils. Many customers visit in the afternoon to enjoy these snacks, and local women often buy them to take home—just as many people do in the morning. Although the shop has been set up recently, there is no shortage of customers.
