It is basically an old pillar from the earlier times of the Hindu community. Its name is 'Joy Baba Loknath Temple,' which is generally a name we know from the Hindu community. So I went there to observe, and I have shared a picture of Joy Baba Loknath Temple.

First, let me introduce to you where this actually is and how you can get here if you want to come. Yes, it is located in Natore district in northern Bangladesh, and to get here, you need to come to Natore from any place. After that, you can just tell any vehicle—be it a car, van, or rickshaw—that you want to go to Natore Rajbari. They will take you here immediately. There are also a few other places here that you can see together, but I am talking about Joy Baba Loknath Temple among them.

I'm going to tell you a brief, light history about this because I met quite a few older people who were here. I talked to them. They stay here all the time, 24 hours a day, even though they officially receive some allowance from the government. From them, I learned that back in 1976, when kings used to be here, there were even more people from the Hindu community living here. Back then, they used to build temples for various prayers and rituals. Since different instruments were used for worship, they also made different kinds of idols.

Currently, the place has become very old and is full of trees and shrubs, to the extent that it looks a bit like a jungle, meaning untidy. Generally, there are big trees here, and on these trees, there are various birds like large parakeets and herons, which drop a lot of waste. Because of this, the area around, like the ground and surroundings, is a bit messy and unclean. All around, it’s just trees and more trees, and things are somewhat untidy. If it were cleaned up from time to time, I feel that it hasn’t been cleaned for a long time.

I came here a few days ago on the 11th, that is, on September 11th. I arrived here in the morning, mainly with the purpose of roaming around a bit and observing different things. Since people in the past had many kings and rulers, they made various pillars and other things. For the present time, this is a place for modern sightseeing. So basically, the main purpose of coming here is that you can come and see the old statues and other things. Stay well, stay healthy, Allah Hafiz.
