Creative Challenge - Unleash Your Creativity w-4

Hello everyone, good day to you all. Welcome to my entry for this Creative Challenge Week 4. For this week, I chose Drawing & Painting category. I decided to draw something simple with only my b. lue pen, a Butterfly sitting on a Flower.

Materials I used:

  1. One white paper
  2. One blue pen

My Step by Step:

Step 1 - Drawing the Flower:

I drew the flower in the middle of the paper. I drew a small circle for the centre of the flower, then I drew 5 petals around it. After that, I drew the stem going down and two small leaves on the side. I drew it slowly so that my hand will not shake and spoil it.

Step 2 - Drawing the Butterfly:

After the flower, I drew the butterfly on top of the flower. I drew a small body in the middle, then I drew two big wings on top and two small wings below. I tried to make the two sides look the same. I also drew the small antenna on the head of the butterfly. At this point, the drawing was already starting to look fine.

Step 3 - Outlining and Making it Bold:
When my drawing was okay, I used the same blue pen to go over the lines again to make it bold and clear. I went over the petals, the stem, the leaves, the wings and the body of the butterfly. I was very careful because with pen, if you make a mistake you cannot erase it. So I went slowly.

Step 4 - Shading and Finishing:
This is the last part. I used my blue pen to add small designs inside the wings of the butterfly. I drew small circles and lines inside the wings to make it look like a real butterfly. I also added small lines on the petals and leaves to give it shade. I did not use any colour, I just used my blue pen shading. When I finished, I looked at it and I was very happy. It was simple but beautiful.

My Thought About My Drawing:
When I was drawing, I felt calm and happy. I was just sitting in my room, drawing slowly with my blue pen. It helped me forget stress. With just a blue pen and paper, you can make something nice. I will keep practicing so that I can draw better next time.

Thank you for reading my post.
