LA FINE DELLE IDEOLOGIE 🇮🇹🇬🇧

L'altro giorno ho fatto benzina qua' a Giaveno, quasi 2,20 al litro.
Ci hanno raccontato che la fine delle ideologie sarebbe stato un bene per tutta l'umanita'.
Ok, se finiscono le ideologie ognuno si occupa piu' di se stesso avendo meno stimoli per occuparsi di come va il mondo.
Occuparsi di se stesso vuol anche dire avere piu' attenzione per i costi, le spese, lo stile di vita, quello che possiamo permetterci.

Ora ci raccontano che non possiamo piu' acquistare combustibile e gas dalla Russia ma bisogna rivolgersi agli Usa pagandolo 4 volte quello russo.
Perche'?
Se le ideologie non esistono piu' sarebbe saggio far prevalere l'interesse personale, anche quello dei singoli paesi.
Poi Trump, quello che doveva far finire le guerre e voleva il Nobel per la pace, decide di attaccare l'Iran, per motivi...anche ideologici.

L'Iran chiude il suo stretto, cosi' fanno in Yemen e il prezzo della benzina sale vertiginosamente anche perche' Russia e Ucraina continuano a bombardarsi le raffinerie.
Ora che non ci sono piu' le ideologie ci dobbiamo beccare tutta questa merda che influisce pesantemente sulla nostra vita senza che nessuno di noi, cittadini, possa fare nulla.
Ma non era meglio quando c'erano le ideologie?

The other day I filled up here in Giaveno—almost 2.20 a liter.
We were told that the end of ideologies would be a good thing for all of humanity.
Fair enough: if ideologies vanish, everyone focuses more on themselves, having less incentive to care about the state of the world.
Focusing on oneself also means paying closer attention to costs, expenses, lifestyle, and what we can actually afford.

Now we’re told we can no longer buy fuel and gas from Russia; instead, we have to turn to the US and pay four times the Russian price.
Why?
If ideologies no longer exist, it would make sense to prioritize self-interest—including the interests of individual nations.
Then there’s Trump—the man who was supposed to end wars and wanted the Nobel Peace Prize—deciding to attack Iran for reasons that are... well, ideological too.

Iran closes its strait, as do the forces in Yemen, and the price of gas skyrockets—partly because Russia and Ukraine keep bombing each other's refineries.
Now that ideologies are gone, we’re stuck dealing with all this crap that heavily impacts our lives, yet none of us citizens can do a thing about it.
Wasn't it better back when ideologies still existed?
