Crypto, a new month and 18 years of Bitcoin!

Buon novembre a tutti!
Grazie per aver letto il mio post.

Hi everyone, friends from Italy and Steemit!
A new month, same old appointment with the crypto world.
Where should we start?
I'd say with an important milestone: Bitcoin turns 18!
On October 31, 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin whitepaper, just nine pages describing a peer-to-peer electronic payment system that didn't require intermediaries.
That small idea gave birth to an industry that today involves millions of people, businesses and financial institutions.
Eighteen years later, Bitcoin is still here. And that's no small achievement!
Of course, we were expecting an October worthy of the name Uptober. As you probably know, October has historically been a bullish month for crypto. Unfortunately, it has disappointed us once again.
For the second year in a row, Bitcoin closed the month in the red.
Once again, historical statistics remind us that no month comes with guarantees and that the market doesn't always follow investors' expectations.
Maybe next year...
Another piece of news that has made quite a splash in recent days, and hasn't exactly improved sentiment in the crypto market, concerns Binance.
The exchange suffered a major cyberattack involving approximately $6.3 billion in digital assets.
That's an enormous amount! It makes you wonder: how safe are we really in the crypto world?
This is a question that concerns both the centralized and decentralized sectors.
We often associate decentralization with freedom and security, but decentralized protocols and services can also have vulnerabilities.
At the same time, centralized exchanges have their own risks and depend on specific infrastructures and control systems.
Fortunately, thanks to cooperation between exchanges, stablecoin issuers and other players, approximately $3 billion in the affected funds were frozen.
Stablecoins, in fact, can be frozen by their respective issuers, while other cryptocurrencies don't allow this kind of intervention.
In any case, Binance has stated that it will cover users' losses, having reportedly covered or recovered 95% of the amount involved, according to the latest updates.
Let's leave October behind and welcome November with some uncertainty, a market struggling to find direction, and an industry that, despite being 18 years old, still has plenty of challenges ahead.
But I believe that, despite everything, Bitcoin's value goes far beyond its market price.
As always, don't let the background noise influence you. Look beyond the short-term ups and downs, and keep your eyes on the long term...
No panic and one satoshi at a time! 😂
Happy November, everyone!
