Some moments deserve to be remembered—not because everything is perfect, but because they remind us how far we have come. This was one of those evenings for me: a black dress, a little sparkle, silver balloons, and a quiet feeling of gratitude in my heart.

Birthdays make me reflect more than I expected. I think about the person I used to be, the things I have learned, and all the changes life has brought.
