Contest: SV Creative / Drawing a beautiful tattoo.
Assalamu'alaikum everyone.
I am @bimanakhan from #Bangladesh
Hello friends,
How are you all? I hope everyone is well. Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, I am very well. I always find great joy in the experience of starting a design from scratch and gradually bringing it to completion. It is particularly rewarding when I try to beautifully integrate various elements into a simple sketch, as each step offers an opportunity to add something new.
This time, I attempted to create a design suitable for a tattoo on a woman's hand. The central elements of the design include a woman's face, a small cat, lovely flowers, and green leaves. I arranged the composition so that all the elements blend harmoniously, creating a cohesive tattoo design.
So, let’s walk through the entire drawing process step by step.
✏️ Materials Used
- White drawing paper
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Black gel pen
- Red color
- Green color
🖌️ Step-by-Step Drawing Process
Step 1:
First, I sketched the lower part of the design on white paper using a pencil. Here, I drew the basic shapes of a small cat surrounded by flowers and leaves.
Step 2:
In the second step, I drew the outline of a woman's face above the cat. I also sketched her hair, facial features, and the floral patterns beside her.
Step 3:
In the third step, I drew the woman's hand positioned on the left side of the design, including the fingers and fingernails. Adding this element gave the entire composition the distinct look of a tattoo.
Step 4:
In the fourth step, I colored the flowers beside the woman red and applied the same color to her fingernails.
Step 5:
In the fifth step, I filled in specific areas of the clothing behind the hand with black ink. At the same time, I darkened the lines and certain details around the woman's eyes.
Step 6:
In the sixth step, I colored the leaves surrounding the flowers green. The use of green leaves, especially next to the red flowers, made the design look much more vibrant and lifelike.
Step 7:
In the seventh step, I colored the woman's hair black and applied dark shading. I added red color to the lips and sharpened the outlines of the cat's eyes, mouth, and other features.
Step 8:
In the eighth step, I used a pencil to add shading to the cat's body, its hindquarters, and parts of the clothing. I also added various lines and shadows to the hair.
Step 9:
In the ninth step, I refined and darkened the outlines of key elements in the design. I added necessary fine details to the flower petals, leaf veins, hair, the cat's face, and the woman's facial features. At this stage, the entire design began to look much clearer and more attractive.
Step 10:
In the final step, I reviewed the entire design and made adjustments to the shading and outlines where necessary. I finalized the details of the flowers, leaves, the woman's face, hair, hands, and the cat. Finally, I added my ID name, @bimanakhan, as a signature next to the design.
My main objective while creating this design was to beautifully combine the beauty of a woman, a small cat, and floral motifs into a single composition. Initially, the image was just a simple pencil sketch. The design gradually came to life through the step-by-step addition of elements, coloring, shading, and outlining.
The use of red flowers, green leaves, and black tones gave the design a unique aesthetic appeal. Additionally, I tried to create a sense of depth in certain areas using pencil shading.
A beautiful design begins with just a few simple lines.
It is through patience, care, and the proper execution of each step that those lines take on a complete form.
Sincere thanks to everyone for viewing my post. Your valuable comments and feedback further encourage me to create new drawings.
