The dairy game: Morning Freshness & The Backless Shirt [16/08/2026]

Good morning Steemit family! Today is Sunday and I have one glorious word for you: REST. No alarms no rushing to the electrical shop and no sweating over heavy boxes. Just me a peaceful morning, and the bright sun. Since I am not working today so I took, my sweet time waking up. No need to rush I just rolled out of bed, grabbed my toothbrush and my little red cup, and headed out to the front of the compound to freshen up.

Now let me paint the picture for you. My compound doesn't have a fancy drainage system or clean tiled bathrooms outside. Right in front of our gate, there is just a normal dirty gutter running along the edge of the road. It's dusty it's rough and honestly, it's the only place with enough space to stand and brush your teeth in the morning 😂. Right next to that Gutter is a Small Shop, it's a little wooden kiosk owned by a local woman. She sells eggs, sachet water, and all those small everyday things. Since her shop is right outside her compound, it sits literally right next to the gutter. So there I was standing in front of the gutter brushing my teeth, right next to her shop. She was already inside arranging her eggs and I'm pretty sure she was looking at me like I was crazy.

Now let's talk about the outfit I rocked this morning or should I say the lack of outfit 🤣🤣. I am wearing my black tank top with blue edges. But the best part? The shirt is completely backless! Yes you heard that right. Because of the way I bent forward to spit into the gutter the whole back of my shirt rode up. I was standing there brushing my teeth close to the dirty gutter, toothbrush in mouth with my entire bare back exposed for the whole street to see. Honestly, I didn't even care. It is a Sunday! Nobody is supposed to be looking at me anyway. If they want to look at my back while I brush, that is their problem not mine 😂.

The woman in the shop was just watching me with this weird look on her face. She didn't say a word, but I could tell she was thinking, This boy is crazy today. I just smiled at her with foam all over my mouth and she to bursted a very big laugh. Sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself. Here I am in my backless tank top, brushing my teeth closer to a dirty roadside gutter on a bright Sunday morning. It isn't glamorous, it isn't fancy but it is real life.

After I finished, I rinsed my mouth, wiped my face and walked back inside. I felt fresh and ready for a lazy Sunday. No work no stress just me, and a little laughter on my face.
