The Story of the River and the Sky
Once upon a time, there was a peaceful river that flowed gently through the countryside. During the day, sunlight danced on its surface, and at night, the moon painted it with a silver glow. Yet, deep in its heart, the river carried a question. The sky was so vast and beautiful, but why did it always seem so far away?
One evening, the river looked up and asked, “Why do you stay so far from me? I see you every day, but I can never touch you.”
The sky smiled softly and replied, “Even though I seem far away, I am always with you. My colors reflect in your waters, and when you are calm, I see my beauty mirrored in your surface.”
The river remained silent for a moment and then said, “Still, I wish I could be closer to you.”
The sky answered, “Then look toward the horizon. There, it appears as if we meet and become one. Though we are apart, our connection can never be broken.”
From that day on, the river no longer felt sad. It realized that true relationships are not measured by distance. Some bonds remain strong, even when they are far apart.
Every evening, the river and the sky shared stories with one another. The sky spoke of its clouds, stars, and endless horizons, while the river told tales of its flowing journey through fields and villages. As the golden colors of sunset spread across the world, their friendship became even more beautiful.
And even today, when you stand by a quiet river and see the reflection of the sky upon its waters, it feels as though they are still talking to each other—one flowing across the earth and the other stretching endlessly above. Though separated by distance, their friendship remains eternal, just like the timeless beauty of nature.
