The sky was overcast with dark clouds, and a cool breeze blew amidst the light drizzle. Nature appeared serene and beautiful in this pleasant atmosphere, yet for the birds sheltering under the shade of trees or in the nooks of walls, it was a time of struggle rather than rest. Amidst the falling raindrops, a 'Gursal' (Myna) sat quietly on the ground. Her slate-black feathers were thoroughly soaked by the incessant rain, yet her gaze remained fixed on the search for food to satisfy her own hunger and that of her chicks.

The 'Gursal'—commonly known as the Myna—is known for its agility and intelligence. During the rainy season, as water accumulates everywhere, small insects and creatures hidden beneath the soil emerge; consequently, the bird's activity increases significantly during the rain. She kept a keen eye on the wet grass and soil. A short distance away, she spotted some sluggish caterpillars and insects. Undeterred by the cold or the rain, she swiftly darted her yellow beak forward and snatched up her meal.

Whenever raindrops fell upon her, she would pause to flutter her wet wings and shake off the water, immediately resuming her task. It is a law of nature that struggle is essential for every breath and necessity of life. The little 'Gursal' understood this well; regardless of whether the weather was pleasant or harsh, hard work was required to satisfy hunger. After hopping about and searching persistently, she finally secured some food in her beak and flew—with a sense of satisfaction—towards the safe nest nearby, where her hungry chicks were waiting for her.
