In my opinion, instead of giving cooked rice directly, it might be better to give lightly boiled rice, raw rice, or various types of birdseed such as kaun or bajra. Dry rice can sometimes cause digestive problems in birds because it swells in their stomachs. Hanging it in my mother's garden is great; I hope it will attract a lot of birds soon.
