Dubai Creek Harbour from the Sea
Dubai Creek Harbour is an upscale waterfront development, mostly residential apartment buildings, built on directly on one of the edges of Ras Al Khor, which in Arabic means: the tip (or top) of the Creek.
The whole area was nothing but the end of the creek bringing in water from the Gulf and resting at a swamp-like natural habitat for flamingos for years before the whole area saw a massive development with the Business Bay water canal linking the creek back to the Gulf through the Business Bay and then Jumeirah localities creating a massive urban development across the route.
I took my family and visiting friends on a boat, the journey starts from the middle of the Dubai Creek next to the famous Palazzo Versace Dubai Hotel across the Creek from the Dubai Festival City area southeast toward the end of the creek before the connection to the water canal and back, a 90 minutes of entertainment, sight seeing, and open buffet on the cruise that has become one of the attractions for the tourists visiting Dubai and also a breakaway for the residents.
