Shouxin Participates in the 2026 National Standard Formulation and Revision Pre-review Meeting & Proposal Meeting
From July 29 to 31, 2026, the National Standard Formulation and Revision Pre-review Meeting & Proposal Meeting was held in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, China. Shouxin Advanced Polymer Sciences Co., Ltd., as a representative of the polyacrylamide industry, was invited to attend the meeting and participate in the discussion on the formulation and revision of the national standard Polyacrylamide for Drinking Water Treatment.
Hosted by CenerTech Tianjin Chemical Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd., the conference brought together experts, scholars and enterprise representatives from three national technical committees for standardization on waste chemical disposal, inorganic chemical industry and water treatment chemicals, to carry out proposal discussion and content pre-review of multiple national standards in a centralized manner.
With the issuance and implementation of the Standards for Drinking Water Quality (GB 5749-2022), new requirements have been put forward for toxicological indicators and other parameters of chemical treatment agents used in drinking water treatment, hence the need to formulate the mandatory national standard Polyacrylamide for Drinking Water Treatment. At this meeting, participating experts and representatives conducted in-depth discussions on the product quality and safety standards of polyacrylamide for drinking water. Leveraging its years of practical experience in polyacrylamide product R&D and municipal water treatment applications, Shouxin actively put forward a number of opinions. The formulation of this standard will play a positive role in improving the quality of water treatment chemicals, ensuring drinking water safety and people's health and safety, and promoting social and economic development.
Participating in the formulation and revision of national standards is an industrial responsibility borne by enterprises. Shouxin will continue to increase R&D investment in polyacrylamide for water treatment, align with the requirements of ecological environmental protection and dual-carbon development, carry out benchmarking verification in strict accordance with national standard provisions to guarantee product quality, and support the high-quality and sustainable development of the industry.
