My favorite pet — a wish that has yet to come true

Today's Challenge Question made me think about a wish of mine that has yet to come true. The question is what has been my favorite pet in my life so far, but the truth is that I have never had a pet. There have been various reasons, but a passion for spending time with and caring for animals has always been in my heart.

If I ever get the chance to have a pet of my choice, I would rather have a cute little turtle than any ordinary pet. I find his calm nature and unique style very interesting. A turtle does not need seek attention all the time like other animals easily manageable but lives quietly in its own world without distracting anyone.

Why do I like turtles?

The most interesting and amazing thing about the turtle is its slow and quiet full of calm life. Our lives are so busy and noisy these days that to see an animal contentedly living life at its own pace, I love it. If I had a turtle, I would make it a clean and safe glass place and take special care of its needs.

How do I take care of it?

If I ever get a this kind of chance or opportunity to keep a turtle in my home, the first thing I will do is create a proper, big and clean environment for it using high quality materials. I will keep his living space clean regularly and take care of his food and clean and fresh water. I will also try not to treat it as just a hobby but take it seriously as a living being and as a responsibility.

My daily life with him

I imagine having a turtle in the house would bring a different and extreme kind of happiness and calmness. He may not go out to play or hang out with me, but his presence will be interesting. I would occasionally see him, observe his movements and try to understand his routine.

Why this desire of mine has not been fulfilled yet?

Keeping a pet is not only a hobby for me but also a full time responsibility. An animal needs adequate food all time, space, cleanliness and constant and regularly care. That's why I haven't kept any pets yet. I don't think it's fair to keep an animal just because it looks pretty; First it is important to see whether we can take good care of it.

If ever there was a chance

If in the future I am in such a position or condition that I can take proper care of an animal like turtle, I would definitely like to fulfill this wish of mine. For me, it will not only be a matter of having a pet, but also the experience of taking responsibility for a living being in my life for different experiences.

Conclusion

Although I have never had a any kind of pet in the past, I believe that the beauty of an animal is not only in its appearance but also in its habits and nature dependent. My favorite is the tortoise because its calm nature attracts me. Maybe someday in the future I will get such an opportunity and I can turn this wish into reality.
