Reading your comment actually made me smile because when I was writing the post, that was exactly what I was trying to imagine: not just a table full of food, but the feeling of everyone sitting together in Sidi Bou Saïd, talking, laughing and trying things they had never tasted before.
I think the reactions to the food would probably be one of the best parts, especially with the harissa. Someone would certainly be brave enough to take too much after I warned them, and then spend the next few minutes looking for the citronnade.
For me, that little mix of food, jokes, conversation and discovering each other's culture would probably be more memorable than anything very formal. I'm really glad that feeling came through while you were reading the post.
