Have You Ever Been in a Situation Where You Question God?
People around the world have different beliefs about God. Some don't believe in his existence; the believe that everything happens by chance. Others believe that he exists but they think he doesn't care about what happens to us, or that he's so far and lofty to be concerned about our daily struggles. Still, there are those who strongly believe in God, his love and genuine care for mankind.
As someone who completely trust in Jehovah God, I see him as my Heavenly Father and a very close friend. But does that mean I have never questioned him? Honestly, I have!
Yes, I have, and that was when I was going through difficult times, everything seems to go South, I was struggling with my health, (HBP) to be precise, and I was just like how could someone my age be suffering from this? Also I was dealing with situations that seemed overwhelming.
There were moments, I wondered, why is this happening to me? Does Jehovah see what I'm going through? Why hasn't things change despite my prayers? Or is it that my errors are too much?
The truth is that sometimes when true worshippers of God went through so much, especially when they see others succeeding, and enjoying life, we may start to wonder if God still love us or has forgotten about us. As I said before, I have such feelings too. In fact sometimes, out of frustration I used to ask Jehovah why he allow certain things to happen, and even blame him for it😩. But when I'm calm, and could think straight, I will go back to him in prayer and even apologize for my wild talk.
One thing I particularly love about Jehovah God is that he doesn't hold my sincere questions and emotional struggles against me. He understands me even better than I understand myself. I can tell him how I feel, whether I'm happy, sad, worried, disappointed or confused. Sometimes I used to tell him I want this, then a few moment later I'll change my mind and he'll still put up with me. I just love the fact that I don't have to pretend that everything is fine when it isn't.
Honestly, I don't think asking God sincere questions means we lack faith or trust in him. It just simply shows that we are struggling to understand a situation and all we need at that moment is the reassurance from him.
Sorry, I'm a Christian, and a devoted one at that and in the Bible it will interest you to learn that some of God's faithful servants also asked him questions when the face with difficult situations. Here I will relate three Bible examples of his servants who were asking him questions:
1. Abraham questioned Jehovah: Genesis 18:23-25, 32
When Jehovah told Abraham about his judgment against the city of Sodom and Gomorrah, Abraham asked Jehovah whether He would destroy the righteous along with the wicked. And he repeatedly asked questions about the number of righteous people who might be found there. Jehovah patiently answered his friend Abraham all his question.
Abraham was concerned about Jehovah's Justice, so God patient's answers in still more confidence in him that Jehovah would always do what is right.
2. Moses questioned Jehovah:Numbers 11:11-15.
Moses was overwhelmed with the enormous responsibility of leading the Isrealite; and they were full of unnecessary complaint, this makes Moses felt overwhelmed and he ask Jehovah why he brought such trouble upon him.
Moses was an outstanding prophets, and one the meekest person on the surface of the earth, but He asked God question, so faithful servants of God today can become emotionally exhausted and express their frustrations to Him.
3. Habakkuk questioned Jehovah:Habakkuk 1:2-4.
Habakkuk couldn't understand why Jehovah seemed to tolerate wickedness and injustice. So he asked God: "How long, O Jehovah, must I cry for help?"
These examples are heartwarming and comforting, it teaches us that we can ask God questions about things that are happening around us without losing our faith.
Questioning God during difficult moments doesn't mean that we have stopped trusting him. I think what matters is where we turn to when we're confused, disappointed or discouraged. For me, I will always chose Jehovah, he's my strength, my Rock and Saviour. I may not know why certain things happen, and sometimes I may not receive an answer to my prayers immediately but I'm 100% sure of his love and care for me. He understands me and my limitations.
Jehovah cares for us that is why he invited us in Psalm 55:22 to throw our burdens on him, that he will sustain us, never will he let the righteous ones totter.
In conclusion, I believe it is okay to ask Jehovah sincere questions. After all, he invites us to draw close to him, and a close relationship allows us to express our deepest feelings. But then we shouldn't let difficult experiences or situations make us doubt his love and care for us.
I may not understand everything happening in my life today, but one thing I want to keep doing is trusting my Heavenly Father Jehovah, even when I don't get all the details or things don't make sense to me.
okay, I'll stop here for now, but what about you? Have you ever questioned God during a difficult period in your life? And what helped you keep your faith? I'd love to read your thoughts in the comment section. ❤️

Hi, @goodybest!
The truth is, there are very complex situations in life when we ask ourselves, “Where is God?”
In your specific case, when you were suffering from high blood pressure and seeking God’s face in prayer so He would help you overcome that health crisis, it seemed as though there was no answer. And the saddest part is that, when you compare your situation to that of others especially when they seem to be thriving you feel that questioning God is justified and reasonable.
In life, we learn that God is sovereign and does not place more burdens on His children than they can bear. The good news is that you continue to trust Him.
I’d like to ask the author of the question in your thread:
Friend, @josepha, have you ever found yourself in a specific situation where you questioned God because you couldn’t see His help at that moment?
I’m pleased to comment on this important post, which resonates with me as a Christian.
Best of luck.

Your statement tells me that I am not exempt. Yes, I have asked myself, "Where is God?" especially at the time I lost my Mother while in school, preparing for my final exams. My mom fell sick and suffered a lot before she passed away, and during her burial I only saw her corpse; it wasn't opened because of how damaged her body was. I don't like talking about the situation that makes me ask/question my creator, God, because it makes me feel sad and it can result to me hating some people in my life over the death of my beloved mom 😭.
I understand your perspective, because it’s very difficult and complicated to cope with the death of someone as dear as a mother. It happened to me four years ago, when my mother passed away, and during those difficult moments, she was able to confess her sins and accept God as her Savior. However, it’s like a small thorn in the heart: it troubles us and, at times, leads us to ask ourselves, “Why couldn’t God have done something?”
Your stance is firm, and digging up the dust of the past would lead you to question many people; however, your question or the theme of this Season 35 challenge gives us much to think about and deserves to be considered as part of a profound spiritual debate, without calling God’s sovereignty into question.
Good luck, my friend.
That's the truth, and it's how I do feel. Sometimes, when we remember something that happened to us in the past, we think about hate or love.
I appreciate @jimiaera02

Review:
I understand you, and as someone who strongly believes in Jehovah God, I know you may be feeling bad about why you made such a statement. But the truth is that it's a situation that makes people both believers and none believe to say such statement and especially when a believer has so much trust in God then something happen the person may think God is not by his or herself nothing knowing that God who created us already know our tomorrow.
As a Christian, I want to let you know that there are some things that God, who knows our tomorrow, allows to happen in our lives for a reason. Have you heard the word that people do say? That God works in perfect and mysterious ways, which means the way of God is different from the ways of humans, and the best way we can get closer to God is by studying His Word and through prayer requests.
The Bible verse you have shared is another reason why you shouldn't think that you have done something wrong as a child of God, and God is loving and merciful. Wishing you good luck.
