Weekly Contest 70 || The Diary Game || Train trip to cinema
Hello my dear Steemians,
It was last weekend and we decided to visit cinema, we heard a lot from our friends and colleagues about new “The Odyssey” that is new movie with Matt Demon as a main hero and of course, it was based on the old Greek Mythology. When I was a child I had a book about Greek mythology and it was definitely my favourite book where I learnt many different stories and also the Gods and Goddess. That is why when I heard about the movie my and my hubby booked tickets in one of the cinema in Edinburgh, not so far from train station so that it was easy to reach it.
In the morning we went to the train station that is lose to our home, we just need to walk about 8 minute. I am so glad that we live close by, it is comfortable for both when we are just travelling for weekend in the big city for pleasure or often if I have some training in Edinburgh due to my work and different courses. When we arrive late with train it is then just walking back home so we do not need taxi.
When we arrived to train station in Edinburgh, it is always very busy, many people both local and tourists, I actually do not like crowded places but some people love this old station in Edinburgh centre called Waverley station.
Also here is the view over the glass roof of the train station, it is also good view over the city where you can see some buildings.

The cinema was great, there were very comfortable recliner with a little table on the sides for snacks. There were not many people despite of Saturday and afternoon session. We decided to take some water instead of soft drinks and some nuts and salty pretzels and some chocolates. We had great time and the movies was longer than 2 hours, so it was finished 7PM and till we arrived home it was 8PM. That was great time traveling with train to cinema and watching our favorite movie.

Мы вот с женой в кино уже 100 лет не были. Надо как-то исправить ситуацию. "Одиссея" вроде тоже идёт, но есть сомнения))
PS. А что, дневниковая игра до сих пор теплится или только в отдельных сообществах?

Фильм мне очень понравился, только было ощущение что короткий фильм, могли бы сделать в несколььких частях. Когда знаешь как истории написаны фильмы всегда кажутся короткими. Но не пожалела что сходила, к тому же была хорошая скидка в этот ден, только полцены.
Кстати, хотела спросить ты видел что Чален теперь поменялись, много возможности написать на темы а так же поддержка комментатиев посмотри

Про фильм ничего сказать не могу, не смотрел. Может быть желание появится, но это не точно ))
Если знаешь историю или читал книгу, по которой снят фильм, то да, ожидания бывают обманутыми, хоть и не всегда.
Про челенж не слышал, но он уже и заканчивается в воскресенье.
Если будет новый сезон, может и поучаствую, я там не всё понял)

Lovely weekend experience! I really enjoyed reading about your trip to Edinburgh for the cinema, especially because the movie was connected to Greek mythology, which you already loved as a child. It must have been exciting to watch a story related to something that holds such special memories for you. I also liked the convenience of living so close to the train station; being able to walk home even after returning late sounds really comfortable. Edinburgh Waverley Station looks beautiful, although I can understand why you would not enjoy the crowds there. It was first visit to the cinema, not very crowded. I remember from my childhood time we had very busy time getting tickets and trying to attend the cinema. Nowadays I noticed that many young people prefer to watch movies on their smart phones, tablets and some even do not like cinema at all. Still it is nice to be with friends and family in cinema.

Фильм "Аргонавты" 1986 обожаю до сих пор.
