Buying fruit on the Kelantan roadside when I get home from work💫
Good morning all. Today I returned to work as usual in the Kelantan and Kota Tua areas and also to Sarawak City. Today is a busy day, where a few days ago I had just traveled a long way to go to Johor and back to Kelantan to work again.
This morning, I woke up at 6:00 a.m., but I started my workday with my coworkers who live in a rural apartment in Kelantan at 8:00 a.m. after breakfast at our apartment in the rural apartment in Kelantan.
The city seemed very quiet today, even though, in the past few weeks, and a few weeks ago, after major changes regarding passports and visas, many migrant workers were no longer visible in the cities. Today, my coworkers and I began our workday in the Kelantan region before continuing our journey to Kota Tua and Sarawak city.
In today's work, we have a lot of tasks from morning until late afternoon. It's likely we won't be able to find much time for breaks, as I mentioned in a previous post, because our work here has been incredibly busy lately. We've been so busy from 8:00 a.m. until late afternoon that we haven't been able to capture many moments or capture some interesting objects while we work.
During our work break we enjoyed ice cendol💫
Our break time was around 4:00 PM. Before 4:00 PM, we were with 10 colleagues, but my friends had already continued their work in Kota Tua, as they also had plans to rest there. At 4:00 PM, four of us took a break at a restaurant in Kelantan.
The four of us took our break and enjoyed the popular iced cendol (spicy iced cendol) in Kelantan. We hadn't had iced cendol in a long time. When I worked in Johor, Malaysia, I often had iced cendol. But now that I'm working in Kelantan, I rarely enjoy iced cendol. So today, I was given the popular iced cendol from Kelantan, and I wanted to try it right away. The four of us ordered the popular iced cendol, which costs around $25 USD per sweet iced cendol. But the taste of this iced cendol was truly delicious.
When my coworkers and I were on our way home, we bought fruit on the side of the road in Kelantan for our evening snack🌚.
Long story short, after we resumed work in the afternoon in Kelantan and Sarawak, about two hours away, when I returned to the Kelantan countryside or to the apartment where we lived with my coworkers, my friends and I bought fruit from the streets of Kelantan on our way home.
Especially at night, it was so delicious to enjoy fruit while we were on assignment in the Kelantan countryside. I really wanted to buy young coconuts and other fruits, like grapes. A late-night snack would definitely be delicious with fruit.
A young coconut costs around $5 USD and grapes around $30 USD per kilo. Furthermore, grapes in Kelantan are premium grapes. It was already getting late, and it was 7:00 PM, but it wasn't that dark. The weather was probably clear, hehe. Usually, it's already dark at 7:00 PM. After everyone finished buying fruit, we returned together to the guesthouse, or what we often call the apartment where my coworkers and I live.
