Checking In With The Fire 13/8/2026

I was off from work today, this was at my request due to having a meeting with my specialist doctor. While I slept ok I still awoke too early, I was also to eventually return to sleep after my first round of meds but not for long. Regardless this still made it a late start for me, so before having to leave to house I took it upon myself to check on my cement fix on the wall to see if it was holding. I looked like so I continued to the next part of measuring out the wood and cutting what I needed. Just like yesterday I was really pushing for time and stressing about it. Still I at least managed to get that done. Then it was for a quick lunch before having to rush off to travel for my specialist appointment. On the way yesterday I was shocked to see a giant cloud of smoke. Cleary some kind of big building was on fire. A few hundred people were walking, running, taking pictures and gathering to watch what was happening. The worry was that the fire may spread and take out all our houses. But thankfully fire fighters and police were already racing to the scene. I got a few pictures of it and will share another today. Anyway of course heading out and passing the same area today I had to check everything was under control with this fire. I say this because all during the night you could still hear sirens. This was mostly the fire fighters coming back to check the fire did not reignite. I was glad passing today that the fire had been dealt with, it was a massive warehouse that had caught fire, but not sure how it happened. What I can say is it's roof completely compressed and collapsed due to the heat from the flames.

The journey there was mostly pleasant, the train was even hotter than yesterday but less crowded. Yesterday making my way there I began to appreciate this forcing me out. But today while I still enjoyed going to the city I would not want to do it so soon. At my appointment things went well but I'm still not sure how I feel about it. The number of bacteria fighting cells as increased again, this is something I was really not expecting. But this does continue to prove the body is indeed still fighting something. Thankfully I have seen other peoples graph sheets on this and up and down but gradually less does seem to be very typical. I do wish my specialist had made this a little more clear than having me say that this is expected and normal. The specialist is giving me options but it does seem like the conclusion is to reach the max amount of antibiotic permitted and then just continue what I was already doing, then keeping and eye and "hope/pray" for further improvement. Returning home I have had lately too much to get done at home. I'm working on cleaning/clearing the kitchen and fixing a few things. Still working around the oven area but on my return today I did not work on this further. Well hope you all have a good day or night and I will hopefully see you on the next Steemit post.
Aug 2026- The body continues to fight this condition placed upon me. I'm now on day 196 of the specialist treatment plan. Will it ever end!? Still it's been helping me to slowly minimize symptoms, but sadly not to a point where it's fully cured. There's a strong probability that there may still be further underlining issues 🙁. But that will have to be a problem for later. I'm now on my 3rd cycle of another 90 days😫. And will be aiming to reach the max amount of medication I can take in a effort to push for further improvement. Obtaining the treatment itself continues to be a challenge. This is with the pharmacy alone, the specialist doctor as fully confirmed for me to be on the treatment. But I have to keep fighting them "the pharmacy" to allow me excess to medication that I been cleared to have. Which this is not right at all😡! I shouldn't have to be doing this while unwell. Especially since already having gone through the correct and "yet costly" legal process of obtaining medication.
