RE: Steemit Update [October 20th, 2026] : Community Curators for November

in #steemit • 8 days ago

For my suggestion on this, I believe we need to twerk a little to the old ways... #oldisgold... the present weekly selection process has continued to be skewed and promote favouritism especially from same country users and allies. Weekly reports can be done only without necessary adding the user selection for additional rewards. Let the weekly report be a means to reward the curators only. [This will allow 01 & 02 accounts to support posts in a more flexible manner by also reducing the burden of obligatory supports].

Secondly, #steemitblog can x-ray 20 active communities in a month [to determine the parameter for selection], and allow two communities manage a single curator account intermittently for the month and do their weekly report with their community account for support. In the regards, one curator account should be dedicated for those posting outside the communities [personal blog] with weekly reports done using their accounts for support.

Remember, there was a check-status to allow for max support to be given to any user in a community to put possible abuse under check.

The idea has always been that communities should build up their own SP to support their community posts...

Just like in your comments, never say never 😀.
However, you didn't comment on my first idea.
The motive is to de-escalate abuse and improve fairness across the board.
