Steemit Update [October 4th, 2026] : Steemit Challenge Season 34 - Week 7
The new format of Season 34 still seems to be working well so we will be continuing with this for a few more weeks.
Season 34 will keep going with the engagement and improvement comments, the weekly choice posts and two new Challenge questions each week

Season 34 : Week 7 Challenge Questions
The Challenge Questions this week…
Question 1 : Stranded on an Island…
Imagine you are going to be stranded alone on an island for a month.
You can’t take much luggage so you will only have room for one book, one song and one movie (and the necessary tech devices to play them!).
What will be your chosen book, song and movie?
Why did you choose these? Do they bring back special memories?
And if you had space to take one luxury item, what would it be?

Question 2 : Ten Years From Now
Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?
What job do you hope you will be doing? Where will you be living?
How will society in your country have changed by then?
Will the world be very different in 2036?

The two questions are quite different to give maximum appeal. You are welcome to take on one or both - just make separate posts if you answer both questions.
These Challenge Questions will remain open until 11:59pm UTC on Sunday, October 11th, 2026.

The current format of Season 34 seems to me to be definitely structured and allowing participants to write regularly and pay attention to each other's posts. However, given the format of the previous Challenge Season 33, the scope of themes and creative freedom felt relatively wide.
In the previous format we had more opportunities to share different experiences of our daily life. Sometimes writing about cooking, sometimes exploring a new place or exploring the world through Steem Atlas, while also writing about art, craft, photography and other creative activities. In this way, everyone would find a unique topic according to their interest and experience.
In the current format, the two Challenge Questions and Weekly Choice Posts certainly provide a good format, but on the other hand, these fixed boundaries of topics limit our creative freedom. Sometimes we have an opportunity to write about an interesting experience, travel, food, art or a new observation, but it does not fall within the scope of the current questions.
I suggest keeping the current format and allowing for an occasional Open Choice or Free Topic post, so that participants can write on any positive and creative topic of their choice. This will also preserve the strengths of the current system and give us more freedom to share our various skills and experiences with the Steem community.
I think this way the range of topics in the Challenge will also be widened, different types of content will be exposed and it will be more interesting for participants to participate creatively in constantly new ways.

Both challenge questions for Season 34, Week 7 are excellent and unique. Reading Question 1 evoked a thrilling feeling. On the other hand, Question 2 will greatly help me reflect on the future ten years from now—considering where I will be and how I envision myself at that time. I really liked both questions. Thank you, @steemblog, for continuing Season 34.

Estoy muy feliz porque seguimos con el nuevo formato aun de los challenge, que siga asi.
En cuanto a las preguntas de esta semana estan cheveres, lo dificil va ser escoger el libro, la cancion, la pelicula jajaja y de como nos veremos en 10 años.
Yo quiero verme principalmente dentro de 10 aqui en la plataforma seguir en ella.
Ya que ademas de lo que nos ayuda en lo economico, tambien, me ayuda a mantener la mente activa, seguir sintiendome util.

Hello steemians:
These are interesting questions that make you imagine a scenario where something happens and you end up alone or isolated from all other humans; the question seems simple, but it makes you reflect on the necessities of our modern lifestyle and how much we rely on so many different things.
I prefer the second one; it allows me to create a hypothetical projection of where I see myself in ten years—and given how fast society is evolving, it will be interesting to see what we think about that.
Thank you very much for giving us this opportunity to stand out and be creative and original.

Se oye extraño eso de la "semana 7" dentro del Steemit Challenge, pero ya todos sabemos que se debe a la aceptación que ha tenido este nuevo formato. Las preguntas, por otra parte, en esta oportunidad me parecen más creativas, divertidas y hasta confesionales; aunque, para mi gusto, el rango temporal de la segunda debió ser más amplio: al menos hasta el 2050.
