Tucker Carlson: Trump is a weak leader who succumbed to Israeli influence, dragging America into a war with Iran

In an interview with Bloomberg, conservative American media personality Tucker Carlson criticized President Donald Trump’s foreign policy, describing him as a "weak leader" for allowing U.S. decisions to be completely subordinated to Israeli influence—a move that dragged the country into a war with Iran contrary to Washington's interests.

Carlson asserted that the United States would not have entered this war had Vice President J.D. Vance been president, noting that Vance is capable of aligning the Republican Party more closely with the aspirations of its anti-war electoral base. These remarks followed an interview Vance gave to podcaster Joe Rogan, in which he accused Israel of attempting to sway American public opinion to derail diplomatic efforts with Tehran.

Carlson added that the consequences of the war with Iran revealed the United States to be "far less powerful" than previously believed. He warned that the dominance of lobbying forces and Israel-linked political money in campaign financing has alienated the Republican Party from its voters—a disconnect for which the party could pay a price in the upcoming midterm elections. Carlson also held the U.S. and British governments responsible for funding Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip, describing both as complicit in the war of genocide taking place there.
