Just in case, or sticking to a strict plan?
Just in case, or sticking to a strict plan?
There are many jokes about people doing things just in case, usually involving something bordering on the absurd, like someone buying several train tickets just in case they need to fly, just in case.
Although, it's hard to say when such an act is stupidity, or something similar, and when it's a clear plan, and a foolproof one at that.
For example, in my grandmother's storage room after her death, I discovered a large supply of matches, salt, cereal, light bulbs, paraffin candles, toilet paper, and other things. These items could outlive any owner of such supplies, but, as the saying goes, a supply that lasts does not enrich the soul.
And yet, a clear plan is usually something we can't understand; it's simply not given to us.
But a bush growing in a vacant lot produces a bountiful harvest of hawthorn. Typically, no one wants it, and it seems like a waste of time. However, when the cold weather arrives, the birds will get their treats, which will help them survive the winter, and the bush will reward those who carry the seeds from one place to another. A very clear plan.
Here's a sparrow sitting in a viburnum bush. It should fly to the bread factory where there's a better chance of finding tasty grains. But the sparrow probably has a clear plan: wait until the falcon's cries subside, then it can dream about something else. For now, it's sticking to a clear plan: survive, or, just in case, wait.
Although, another aorabey may behave like a fool, showing off in front of predators.
What are the chances of this thorn latching onto your pant leg and conquering new territory?
I think they're slim, but just in case, this little bottle is following a very precise plan lol.
