Hello everyone welcome to the first episode of my creative writing session with yours truly @gaiussam.In today's episode I want to enlighten you in Balancing spiritual life with the business or career life.People always find this as two separate lives and being a different person.
Someone asked a question during our monthly review meeting on how we can balance our spiritual life and business or career, and everyone was sharing their opinions but here is what I come to find .
"There is nothing like balancing your spiritual life and your business."
Many of us unconsciously treat these two things as separate.There is “my spiritual life” where I pray, study the Word, attend church, fast and seek God.Then there is “my business life” where I make decisions, negotiate deals, manage money, lead people, serve clients and build.
Well! To burst your bubbles "they were never supposed to be two different lives." Your spiritual life is not an activity you add to your schedule.It is a life you live. God should not only be involved when you are praying about your business. He should influence how you run it.
How you treat your clients.
How you handle money.
How you respond when nobody is watching.
How you make decisions.
How you treat your employees.
How you handle success.
How you respond to pressure.
How you treat your colleagues at work
How you behave when doing the right thing costs you money.
The Market Place
You don't pray in the morning and then suspend your convictions when you enter the marketplace You carry God with you into the marketplace. Our goal is not to build a successful business and then find time to fit God into our already busy life.
The goal is to build a life where our relationship with God influences everything we build. We cannot be a spiritual person on Sunday and a business person from Monday to Saturday. We are one person. And every part of our life should reflect the One we belong to.
