How I earn money from writing even when I probably won’t get it published today

in #writing • yesterday

I used to think you write for free and someday it will pay off. Boy, have I changed. Now I like to get instant gratification from all I do. Here is what helped me.
I sometimes get interesting dreams, and it makes me think it is kind of cool that I am creating when I sleep. So you could say that I make money while I sleep. That is rewarding, but I got into passive income recently, and my life changed for the better. Since then I use a team of apps. I discovered Ninja Miles, an app that lets you earn from typing, and Microsoft Rewards, an extension that lets you earn from searching the internet.
Now I have a whole arsenal of apps for when I write. They include Ninja Miles for typing, Bing for browsing, Grow Habits for timing my work, and completely passive apps for earning money when I am using my laptop and phone, Nielson Mobile, Honeygain, and Pawns app. With this setup, I know I get immediate rewards from how much I write.
The next level of apps I use rewards me for being proactive and posting useful articles. I know people can learn and benefit like me, because I gained so much from this. I want to share my strategy with others. I discovered Medium app, Vocal media, Steemit, and Substack. The best part is that I can post one story on several of those apps. It is the thought and quality that would matter at this level. The levels after this are left for creative exploration. I have many dreams for what I want to do with my short stories and articles.
I would like to create a video game and board games with my sci-fi story. This would enable the sale of merchandise. A background story to a creative board game is just one possibility for all the creative things that might come from a story. The first step, however, is just writing or brainstorming. I can't think of an app that is more helpful in motivating me to type in the beginning stage, other than Ninja Miles. If you have another app in mind that is very helpful, readers on this platform, and I would love to read your opinion in the comments.
