The Wild Yak and the Brave Little Boy
The Wild Yak and the Brave Little Boy
Once upon a time, high in the snowy mountains of the Himalayas, there lived a powerful wild yak named Rocky. He had thick black fur, long curved horns, and strong legs that helped him walk through deep snow. Rocky lived with a herd of wild yaks and spent his days searching for grass and drinking fresh water from mountain streams.
Rocky was different from the other yaks. He was brave and strong, but he did not like humans because he thought they were dangerous. Whenever he saw a person coming near his herd, he would stamp his feet and run toward them to scare them away. The other yaks respected him because he always protected them from danger.
One winter morning, a little boy named Tashi went into the mountains to find his lost sheep. Suddenly, a heavy snowstorm began, and Tashi lost his way. He wandered through the snow until he became tired and cold. As darkness fell, he saw Rocky standing near a rocky cliff. At first, Tashi was frightened, but he noticed that the wild yak was not attacking him. Instead, Rocky slowly walked toward a sheltered cave.
Tashi followed Rocky into the cave, where he found protection from the freezing wind. Rocky stayed near the entrance and kept watch throughout the night. The next morning, the storm stopped, and Tashi heard his father calling his name. Rocky walked out of the cave, and Tashi followed him until he found his father. Tashi was overjoyed and thanked the mighty yak before returning home safely.
From that day onward, Tashi never forgot Rocky’s kindness. He told the villagers about the brave wild yak who had saved his life. The villagers learned to respect the wild yaks and promised never to hunt or disturb them. Rocky returned to his herd and continued living freely in the beautiful Himalayas.
Moral of the story: Never judge anyone by their appearance. Even the wildest creature can have a kind heart.
