Airport or Shopping Mall?

in #airport • 26 days ago

After many years I travelled to Delhi. The last I had travelled was in 2010, so it's been 16 years to that. A lot has changed in this time. The airport looks so different to me, I can barely remember what it was 16 years back, but this time I saw, I found it very interesting. There are lot of art pieces spread out in the space. A big food court with variety of eateries. Multiple lounges and other areas to relax and a big shopping area. For a domestic airport, it is very impressive. I am sure the International would be bigger and better than this one also.

Me and son had reached a little early, so we decided to spend our time at the lounge, but then on reaching the lounge there was a long queue and it was a crowded place, so we thought it would be better to find a quiet place and sit there. He was hungry and wanted to eat, so while he grabbed on some food, I went around the airport to see the place and get some pictures.

This is an art work showcasing some of the Indian festivals like Utrayan and Raksha Bandhan, along with some auspicious items used during these festivals. Displayed on a green bed, it looks wonderful.

The view from level 1. It looks more of a shopping mall then an airport
