Introducing Myself: Questions I Couldn't Ask Anywhere Else

Hello, Friend . I'm northsignal — Here to Think Out Loud.
I'm not here to tell you what you want to hear.
I'm here because I've spent years collecting opinions I couldn't say out loud at work, questions I couldn't ask in polite conversation, and observations about money, markets, and the way people think that never quite fit into a normal feed. Hive felt like the right place to finally say them properly — long-form, unfiltered, and open to argument.
Who I Am
I won't bore you with a resume. What matters more is how I think:
- I default to questioning things everyone else accepts as obvious.
- I'm more interested in being right eventually than being agreeable now.
- I read markets the way I read people — for incentives, not headlines.
- I believe most advice is wrong for most people, including the advice I'm about to give you.
If that sounds arrogant, good. I'd rather earn your trust with substance than beg for it with politeness.
What I'll Be Writing About
I'm not picking one lane, and I'm not apologizing for it. You'll find four recurring threads in what I post:
Mind & Life — Why the advice everyone gives about productivity, habits, and self-improvement usually fails, and what actually seems to work instead.
Crypto & Markets — Honest reads on where money is moving and why, without the hype or the doom. I'll tell you when I'm wrong.
Web3 & Platforms — What Hive and the broader crypto-social space get right, get wrong, and could fix — from someone who actually uses it, not just speculates on it.
Tech & the Near Future — What's actually changing versus what's just marketing. AI, automation, and the tools reshaping how we work and think.
The common thread isn't the topic. It's the lens: question first, conclude second, and say it plainly.
Why Hive
Most platforms reward whoever shouts loudest or panders hardest. Hive, for all its flaws, still rewards people willing to write something with an actual point of view — and readers willing to engage with it, agree or not.
I'm not here to farm votes. I'm here to build an honest track record of what I thought, when I thought it, and whether I was right. That's a rare kind of accountability, and it's exactly why I'm starting here instead of anywhere else.
What to Expect Next
My next few posts will cover:
- A hard look at why most New Year-style resolutions and productivity systems quietly set people up to fail.
- An honest breakdown of a crypto trend everyone's excited about — and why I'm not, yet.
- A closer look at what Hive's reward system gets right that most social platforms never will.
If any of that sounds interesting, follow along. If you disagree with something I write, even better — say so in the comments. That's the whole point.

I love that you're unapologetically yourself and willing to challenge conventional wisdom - it's refreshing to see someone who values honest discussion over polite agreement. Keep sharing your unique perspective! 👍💡
@northsignal, yo también pasé por eso de no darse cuenta de lo importante hasta después. Leer tu post me hizo acordar.
Se nota que le ponés amor a la cocina. No es solo la receta, es cómo la contás que hace la diferencia. @northsignal
