RE: Light of People
That's true, unfortunately.
It is a tool, and historically, every tool has been utilized for good and bad purposes.
There is a big difference with the new AI tool and as it sees people use it to cheat/harm other people so once it really starts to think independently and act independently, this may be the beginning of the end for all of us.
You mean like in this article?
https://slaynews.com/ai-model-turns-evil-test-tries-build-bioweapons-maximize-civilian-deaths/
Oh.
Yes. Also, I read yesterday in the news that a robot jumped on a human in a store after being pushed.
Well, let's scratch that as after I searched for the original, it appears mostly on FB and other social/video media and appears staged. :) At the same time few countries seem to be investing a lot to robotize their armies.
Not a surprise, it probably already exists.
I agree it exist ...those aliens are for sure part of it and the drones ..
This BOOMING vote is yours and well deserved!

Soon cyberpunk stories will be reality and no longer part of the imagination ..
Some spiritual people say the reality follows the imagination (in awhile perhaps, not instantly, but who knows...) and as this all is a battle for our souls, some forces are obviously trying to make us imagine our doom.
Well, not so hard to do that in the present days...
Still, let's hope and do our best for a brighter future :)

The question is: whose imagination is followed right now?
Let's try a brighter tomorrow to start with it.
The future will more likely be like the cyberpunk story written by @eagithao 😕
What if I am too old to go for such a world?

Well, I read this sci-fi book as a child, I don't recall the title or the author, but the idea was the collective imagination could shift the reality into a certain path, probably this is why all that "official media" propaganda. Just a theory though.
I checked that account and while I am not sure about the posts, I am almost 100% sure its comments are AI-generated or AI-translated. Too many tale-tell signs. No judgement here, bloody future is already here with regards to literature, music, photography, cinema, etc. I just don't want to waste my precious time reading non-human stuff and I'd rather focus on natural intelligence instead. ;)
Have a great day ahead!

It is translated since the author is Chinese and there's no other way. The same counts for many of us if we want to post somewhere and do not speak the language. I doubt anyone will read me if I write in Dutch, not that many do right now 🤣 still I am super busy commenting and replying, which I should do less. If it comes to that @dreeyor is right and so was @patjewell a few years ago. It is impossible to answer hundreds of comments and replies a day. How about you? Will you be read if you post in your native language, are you able to connect?
Btw, the autocorrect function on the keyboard is also AI... We already live that future.
If you remember that book, let me know
When I write in Bulgarian first, I post the original and then state that the English version is a translation. Otherwise no one will be able to tell it is not originally written by AI. Moreover, I see the images there are also generated, so I am still not convinced ;)
I think it is better to use non-AI translators (while they still exist), because they will pass the words of the author better, I've tested AI translation and it is too sophisticated. Sometimes it intentionally changes the meaning of the words. Not to mention the censorship. People rarely use non-native language at that high level and that makes everything sound less real, well, at least to me.
Before The Internet, I was reading two books a week, now it is two per year, unfortunately :) but still, if I recall that book, will let you know :)
Have a lovely evening!

The story seems to be quite interesting, and I'm currently on the third chapter, though it's because I started late. I still can't quite fantom if it was self written or generated.
About the translation, I think it's impossible to respond to quite a lot of comments a day, and there are times when many comments will skip our eyes, making those who couldn't get a reply feel unheard.
If I'm to tell my dad about the AI arguments, he'll always refer to a story.
Before there was a mower, there was a cutlass, and clearing with the cutlass obviously made our bodies build [strong], and at times we'd take consecutive breaks to rest. But when the mower was invented, many of us found it easier to use, and it did its job much faster, even though it had a cost and maintenance disadvantage.
Although it feels like AI might become more than a tool in the future, what I currently see is the AI that's a tool — many [use it] to correct our errors, as many of us naturally don't speak the same language. And if my dad were to type all I have said in his dialect, neither I nor an AI will fully grasp this, and even if I speak my Yoruba, words will flow off balance when the translator is used. Right now, the English I type, I most times have to proofread since I wasn't born English but taught, and no matter how I try as someone who isn't studying English, I won't be able to quite speak it as someone who's born English and communicates daily and frequently in that language.
People posting with Ai and creating videos isn't scary but this video does, imagine if was real and had legs plus stable power supply

Thank you so much for the mention, @wakeupkitty! Reading your comment actually touched my heart.
Writing these dark cyberpunk stories sometimes gives me chills too. But I always believe that dystopian fiction isn't a prophecy—it's a warning. We write about those cold, neon-lit futures to remind ourselves to protect the warmth, nature, and light we have today.
And honestly? If a world like that ever did come true, it wouldn't cast you aside. A cold, mechanical world would desperately need the wisdom, empathy, and humanity of people like you to keep the "Light of People" burning. You wouldn't be too old for it; you would be exactly the soul that world needs to survive. Sending you a big, warm hug! 🌻
