This poem is full of irony. Summer is for vacations. So it's not a bad thing at all for married couples to take a few days off to do whatever they want, because believe it or not, some marriages are very similar to the torture of a school year with an annoying teacher, hehe.

True though there are also marriages where the two rarely see another. I assume both are happy and have fun for a few weeksm let's hope she is still there after his return.
