I am pleased to participate in 1st week of Steemit challenge season 31. This week, I will be sharing my Green Journey. So Let's start,

We all love green surroundings. Whenever I get time, I try to spend time in green surroundings, especially in small forests or parks. I have kept several small plants on my balcony, so I have been able to create a mini green environment on my balcony.

The green environment that I will write about today is a shal forest which is known as Saguni Shalbon. It is located in my beloved Dinajpur district. Since this forest is located in a quiet place quite far from the city, you can spend a wonderful time here. You will enjoy every moment in this forest, free from the hustle and bustle of the city, and it is a good place to have a picnic with your family. It is basically an artificially created forest in the Dinajpur region, where the combined touch of nature and man has merged. Natural sal forests in Bangladesh are very limited, especially in the northern regions, most of which are man-made. According to the Sal Forest Ecosystem, these sal forests have been developed for environmental conservation and greening. As an initiative to protect the environment, sal trees are planted, which over time have turned into a dense green forest and have become today's Saguni sal forest.

The most enjoyable thing is that the road you have to use to reach this forest is also surrounded by greenery. In short, if you are a green lover, you will love going here from the beginning to the end.

This forest was created on the banks of a river and you can appreciate the beauty of the forest from the river. The peaceful environment of the river, the sound of water, the scent of green leaves and the tall trees will give you peace of mind and you will forget about using any electronics or digital devices after visiting here.

After going here, I observed several things. The first thing I will talk about is the smell of the soil. It had rained a while before I went to this place, so the rain water soaked the soil and gave off a wonderful smell that took me back to my childhood. I really like the smell of soil. But I cannot share it with you through video or pictures. But this was one of my observations.

The second observation was the dry leaves and flowers falling from this forest. After going here, I saw several dry leaves and flowers left at the base of the tree. The roots of the tree have grown quite a bit, the tree may be a little older, so the flowers and leaves have been blown away by the wind and deposited here. Dry leaves and fallen flowers remind us that everything has an end. These leaves were once young and green, which worked to make food for the tree, but over time they have dried up and fallen. We also know that something new begins from that end. They mix with the soil and give birth to new trees. Therefore, a complete life cycle.

My second observation- Circle of the life

The third observation that I will share with you is the red dragonfly. I have not seen dragonfly for many years, especially the red dragonfly. I am not a very good photographer, but I tried to take pictures of this dragonfly. The red dragonfly took me back to my childhood. When I was a child, I used to try to catch red dragonfly by our river in the afternoon. Many red dragonfly used to come there, but with the change of time, they are no longer seen. No matter how many changes come in a person's life, he never forgets the beautiful and innocent memories of life and tries to enjoy them anew at different times of life.

As much as it is enjoyable to spend time in our natural environment, it is important to be aware. Keeping a few things in mind, especially in places like forests, will make your trip safer and more enjoyable.

• Always follow familiar paths or local guides.
• Mosquitoes, ants, or other insects may bite, so carry mosquito repellent.
• Do not throw plastic or garbage into the forest.
• Do not break trees.
• Avoid using fire. Even a small fire can cause a big accident.
• Keep the necessary things like water bottle and snacks with you.
