Joy of our parents

It feels so good to see our parents happy, when we are small they take care of us and when they get old it is our children's responsibility to look after them. Not only look after them but to also give them comforts and make them feel special. Just the way they did for us in our childhood. My mom is 82 now, this was last year when she visited me in Muscat. Till the time I settled in Muscat, she had never sat in an airplane. For the first time in her life that was at the age of 73 she sat in an aircraft. Even though she was not alone she was very nervous, but after that first flight she got confidence and since then every year she comes to visit me and stays with me for a couple of months.

The last time she was here, she developed some health problems and after that her Doctor has suggested she avoids long travels. She is medically weak and fragile, so it's best to avoid giving her any stress. The last time she travelled, I made her fly business class. I did not know it would be her last time travel, I just felt I should make her feel special, so I booked it for her. Now to think of it, must be Universe way of making me do it.

She was so happy with this experience. After reaching home she called almost everyone to let them know that she travelled business class, just like a small baby. I know she is not going to be with me forever and that's why I want to do as many things for her while she is around. This time when I travel to India, I am going to take her for a couple of days to a hill station, that's also one of her wish. I hope that her health stays good so that I can take her.

When the meal arrived, she was quite surprised because in economy class they serve it very different. She did not expect this kind of service. She clicked this picture and send it to her friends.

I just wish that she lives a long healthy life and that I can get such opportunities to keep doing things for her.
