I don’t currently have a pet. I imagine coming home to a wagging tail and a dog that's always happy to see me. Dogs are famous for being friendly, loyal, and great with families, which is exactly what I want in a companion.
I'd name him Buddy. We'd go for morning walks, play fetch in the park, and he'd be my shadow while I work. On tough days, just having him curl up next to me would make everything better.
Sadly, my current living situation doesn't allow pets, no space and no time to give a dog the care it deserves. But one day, when I have a home with a yard, Buddy will be the first member of my family.
Until then, I'll keep dreaming and enjoying everyone else's pet stories here!
