Steemit Update [September 14th, 2026] : Steemit Challenge Season 34 - Week 4
Season 34 will be continuing for a few more weeks.
Reading the positive feedback in the entries to @pandora2010’s very useful contest it seems people are enjoying the current format of the Steemit Challenge.
So we will continue with the engagement and improvement comments, the weekly choice posts and two new Challenge questions each week.

Question 1
Which has been your favorite pet that you have ever owned?
Tell us their story with pictures and words.

Scientists are predicting a ‘Super El Nino’ creating extreme weather events around the world over the next 6 - 9 months. It could be the strongest for at least 70 years.

I say make it permanent if you wish to see the price of Steem going up constantly. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw Steem touched 9.3 cents, more than double. I am sure if the control of contests remains in able hands the price will go further up.
I guess, The Seemit team should go for a similar experiment with curation since some of the curation accounts are being grocely misused. I admit i did not take part in too many contests apart from the official ones but I am happy and satisfied as they were worth my time and effort. Thank you!

My second suggestion is regarding support for the contests. As you previously advised about increasing the Steem prize, maybe a dedicated curation team could be assigned to support all running contests on Steemit, just like we experienced before.
I truly believe this will motivate more people to join.

A good idea. Contests could be chosen as a theme under the current system.
Great idea …having a curation theme support contests is great but there would still be need for more extra support from 01 and 02 as we have been doing because the curator account voting capacity may not be able to give enough rewards to pay the participants of the contest. Maybe a booming account may be okay but the voting would probably have to be 100%. If there are more stable support for the contest organizers, it will make for more consistency and ability to carry through weekly. For example is someone is running weekly contests of 20 steem or more and doesn’t have adequate support, they may not be able to sustain it over time.

Considero excelente este nuevo formato de Retos, ya que el modelo anterior estaba, en verdad, agotado: los Retos parecían que se encontraban reservados, con exclusividad, para Steem Atlas (no tengo nada contra esa aplicación, pero todo parecía circunscrito a sus lineamientos y eso resulta repetitivo).
Lo que sí me parece adecuado sugerir es que se disminuya la cantidad de publicaciones que se abordan en la Selección Semanal, seis me parecen demasiado. Aunque no tengo problemas para cumplir con esa exigencia, me he dado cuenta de que algunos usuarios, cuya capacidad de escritura y análisis pueden ser más exhaustivas, solo se limitan a someras observaciones, debido a que, probablemente, el número de textos que examinan les genera una publicación muy extensa y eso, en varias oportunidades, ha sido criticado en la plataforma.
Propongo, entonces, que la Selección Semanal se reduzca a cuatro (04) publicaciones: Un juego del diario, un concurso, una de la primera pregunta y la última de la segunda pregunta.

Thank you for launching the fourth week of Season 34. I really enjoy that people have started commenting on various posts in a very elegant manner. It has brought more beauty back to the steemit platform. I appreciate these initiatives. I am very disappointed that many user comments are generated by AI. It really worries me a lot. But finding out their comments is very complicated. Since the comments are very short, they are not very long, but rather between 50 and 100 words maximum. So not everyone has a premium/paid checker to find AI in these. If you know of a way to fine-tune AI-generated comments, please share it.
Another thing is, I noticed several #s34weekly posts that were submitted before the third week was over. My question is, Will people pick six posts and report #s34weekly any day of the week? Or will they post after the week is over?

Estoy de acuerdo en que se revisen los lineamientos de curación hay muchos autores con grandes potenciales y ni los ven siempre veo las mismas personas en las nominaciones de los mejores de la semana y no es que no lo merecen, pero opino que deberían ver más allá siempre nominan las mismas personas de su nación, entiendo lo que expresa el señor @dove11 lo que lo llevo a no participar en varios concursos, pienso que así como se implenti este cambio en los Challenges por ser tan repetitivos también deberían experimentar con los equipos de curación

A mediados de esta semana me incorporé en steemit nuevamente, ya que tenía unos dos meses que no publicaba, por motivos de salud. Estuve revisando un poco y veo que hay mucha más interacción dentro de la plataforma, felicidades a los originadores de estas ideas tan maravillosas, cada día vamos mejorando y vamos a subir ese steem hasta la cima.

I don’t currently have a pet. I imagine coming home to a wagging tail and a dog that's always happy to see me. Dogs are famous for being friendly, loyal, and great with families, which is exactly what I want in a companion.
I'd name him Buddy. We'd go for morning walks, play fetch in the park, and he'd be my shadow while I work. On tough days, just having him curl up next to me would make everything better.
Sadly, my current living situation doesn't allow pets, no space and no time to give a dog the care it deserves. But one day, when I have a home with a yard, Buddy will be the first member of my family.
Until then, I'll keep dreaming and enjoying everyone else's pet stories here!

I really liked your new concept at first, but things aren't proceeding the way you described. Your 'booming team' is showing a lot of negligence—especially @booming04.
