RE: A talk with ChatGPT about Steem... or: A lot of text! / Ein Gespräch mit ChatGPT über Steem... oder: Eine Menge Text!

Never apologise... ;-))

You’re right, of course, about the points you’ve raised. But I actually trust that the farmers, spammers and content bots will disappear of their own accord when, although they receive their votes (mostly from vote bots or auto-voters), these votes no longer hold any value. If the algorithm that calculates the vote value takes into account the reading time spent on the voted post, the similarity of the author’s other posts, posting frequency, reply behaviour and perhaps even the CSI, then even a 100 per cent vote on such a post would be worth no more than 0.00ct.

They wouldn’t bother posting here any more and would look for other pastures...

Hopefully it can be implemented. I'm getting a little tired of seeing SC curators vote for bot accounts. Or seeing those bot accounts in engagement rankings. Although I think they'll find ways to circumvent the controls. I'm already feeling pessimistic about the token's value; I think the social platform is a kind of oasis, or should be.

This platform should be seen as a truly great gift. Here, people talk to one another who would never meet in real life. People who would never understand each other’s fears or hopes – simply because they know nothing about them. People who can help one another – without ever having met in person. People from countries at war with one another could cooperate… In the past, this is how wars were ended.

As soon as there are ways to circumvent filters and controls, people will make use of them. A community can cope with this in moderation. But not when it affects the vast majority of its members...

I definitely agree with you; I wish the world were more stable and economically homogeneous, and then there would be no reason to use dishonest practices...but But then there are the politicians who refute the hypothesis. Let's dream of a better world!
